Israel’s fourth largest city is located in the Sharon coastal plain just 5 miles south of Tel Aviv but retains its own distinct character and a rich cultural life. The Carmel Mizrahi winery was established by Baron de Rothschild and remains a major local employer, hosting the city’s annual wine festival. Classical and rock concerts in its auditorium and amphitheater attract audiences from all over the country. While the old industrial zone has become a focal point for nightlife, Rishon’s new industrial zone in the west of the city is attracting major multinational companies, alongside new residential neighborhoods stretching towards the coast.
