Holon

Holon means ‘little sands’ and it was built on the sand dunes to the south of Tel Aviv and Jaffa in 1935. It has become a national cultural center, hosting many annual music festivals and arts events, as well as special activities for children centered around the Holon Children’s Museum, and design and fashion events at the landmark Design Museum. The city is building an international-scale sports arena and a major hi-tech park, which will attract new business to Holon’s industrial zone, already one of the largest in Israel.
